How to Use the Progression Planner on POD1UM

The Progression Planner is a powerful tool that allows you to easily update and adjust workouts within your training plans as your athletes progress. This guide will walk you through the steps to effectively use the Progression Planner to ensure your training plans remain dynamic and tailored to your athletes' needs.

Step-by-Step Guide to Using the Progression Planner

  1. Select the Training Plan:

    • Begin by logging into your POD1UM account.

    • Navigate to your training plans by selecting the "Library" option from the side-rail of your dashboard.

    • In the table of available training plans, highlight the plan you want to update.

  2. Edit the Specific Workout:

    • With your training plan highlighted, click on "Edit" to open the plan for modifications.

    • Choose the specific workout within the plan that you wish to update.

    • Click "Edit" again to enter the workout builder.

  3. Access the Progression Planner:

    • Within the workout builder, locate the exercises you want to progress by using the drop-down menu.

    • On the right side of each exercise listed, you will see an icon resembling a bar chart. This is the Progression Planner icon.

    • Click on the bar chart icon next to the exercise you wish to progress. This action will open the Progression Planner screen.

  4. Adjust Exercise Metrics:

    • In the Progression Planner, you'll see the progression plan for the selected exercise.

    • Adjust the metrics as needed, such as updating repetitions, weight, or any other parameters you have set for the duration of the plan.

    • This tool allows you to tailor the workout to better align with your athlete's development and performance goals.

  5. Confirm and Save Changes:

    • After making the necessary updates, click "Confirm Changes" to apply your adjustments.

    • The Progression Planner will close, taking you back to the workout builder.

    • Don't forget to click "Save" in the workout builder to finalise your changes. This will ensure that your training plan is updated with the new progression data.

  6. Review and Monitor:

    • Your training plan will now reflect the updated workout progression.

    • You can continue to use the Progression Planner throughout the duration of the plan to make further adjustments as needed.
