Creating a customised workout on Pod1um is a seamless process designed to cater to your training needs. This guide will help you through each step, whether you’re scheduling a workout for today or planning for the future.
Step-by-step guide to creating a workout
Starting the process
Log into the App:
Begin by logging into your Pod1um account.
Adding a workout for today:
If you have no workouts scheduled for today, an "Add Workout" button will appear on your dashboard. Click it to start creating your workout.
Scheduling a future workout:
To create a workout for a future date, click the calendar icon in the top right corner of your dashboard.
In the bottom right corner, click the plus icon. This will open a menu with various options.
Building your workout
Select "Build a workout":
From the menu, choose "Build a Workout."
Choose your workout type:
You will be taken to a page where you need to select your workout type. After selecting, you will enter the workout builder.
Importing or creating sections
Import existing sections:
Click on "Import Section" to bring in existing routines, plans, or calendar segments.
Use the navigation tabs to find the section you want to import.
Check the box next to the section and click "Save Section" to add it to your workout builder.
Create a new exercise section:
Click "Create your exercise section."
Give your section a title, such as "Warm up," and click the next arrow.
Use the search bar to find specific exercises, like "stretch."
Select the exercises you want and click "Save Exercise" to add them to your builder.
Customising exercises
Adjust reps and sets:
Click on an exercise to adjust the reps and sets.
Use the arrows to navigate between exercises or change the exercise.
The three-dot menu allows you to set metrics like time or weight.
Adjust sets and reps using the arrows.
Add additional sections:
Once you’ve set up all exercises for that section, click "Create New Exercise Section" to add another.
Repeat the process, giving the section a title like "Primary Block," selecting exercises, adjusting reps, and adding rest periods if needed.
Finalising your workout
Finish and schedule:
When you’ve finished building your workout, click "Finish."
You can either start the workout immediately or schedule it for a later date.
To schedule, select a future date and click "Schedule Workout."
Tips for effective workout creation
Organise sections clearly: Use descriptive titles for each section to easily navigate through your workout.
Balanced workouts: Ensure a balance of exercises targeting different muscle groups.
Regular updates: Periodically update your workouts to keep them fresh and challenging.
