This guide will assist you in adding an assessment to your POD1UM account. Whether you're evaluating athlete performance, tracking progress, or gathering specific information, our Assessment Builder provides a comprehensive and user-friendly platform for creating customised assessments.

Step-by-Step Guide to Add an Assessment

  1. Use the ‘Add New’ Button: Start by logging into your POD1UM account. On your dashboard, click on the ‘Add New’ button. This is your gateway to creating new content.

  2. Select 'Other', Then 'New Assessment': From the 'Add New' menu, choose ‘Other’ and then select ‘New Assessment’. This will open the Assessment Builder in a full-page dialog, setting the stage for you to create your assessment.

  3. Customise Your Assessment Title: The Assessment Builder opens with a default title. Click on this title to edit and replace it with a more descriptive and relevant name for your assessment.

  4. Add Assessment Content: In the Assessment Builder, you can add various types of information:

    • Text: Use this for instructions, questions, or any written content.

    • Images: Include images to provide visual references or instructions.

    • Videos: Embed videos for demonstrations or more detailed explanations.

  5. Request Information from Athletes: You can design your assessment to request specific information from athletes. This can include:

    • Text: Include text fields for written responses or comments.

    • Images: Athletes can upload images as part of their assessment response.

    • Videos: Request video submissions for demonstrations or technique analysis.

Tips for Creating Effective Assessments

  • Clear Instructions: Provide clear and concise instructions for each part of the assessment. This helps athletes understand exactly what is expected of them.

  • Relevance: Ensure that each element of the assessment is relevant to the objectives you're trying to achieve. This could be performance evaluation, skill assessment, or feedback collection.

  • Engagement: Use a mix of text, images, and videos to make the assessment engaging and interactive. This can improve the quality of responses you receive.

  • Feedback Mechanism: Consider including a section for athletes to give feedback or comments. This can provide valuable insights into their experience and perceptions.

Advantages of Using POD1UM’s Assessment Builder

  • Customisation: The Assessment Builder allows for complete customisation, enabling you to create assessments that are tailored to specific needs and goals.

  • Ease of Use: The user-friendly interface makes it straightforward to add, edit, and organise assessment content.
