This article provides a comprehensive guide on how to add athletes to your network on Pod1um. Whether you're a coach looking to manage your athletes more efficiently or an organisation aiming to connect with a broader range of talent, this feature simplifies the process of growing your athletic network on our platform.

Step-by-step guide to adding an athlete

  1. Navigate to the 'Users' Section:

    • Log into your Pod1um account.

    • Select "Athletes" from the menu within the 'Users' section.

  2. Add a new athlete:

    • Click on "Add new."

    • You will have two options: add a single athlete or multiple athletes simultaneously.

  3. Adding a single athlete:

    • Enter the athlete's email address and press Enter.

    • Complete the required details for the athlete.

    • If you wish to add the athlete to a team, use the drop-down menu labelled “Team.” You can select an existing team or create a new one.

  4. Bulk importing athletes:

    • For adding multiple athletes at once, use the bulk import option.

    • Select multiple athletes by checking the boxes next to their names.

    • Assign them to a team by selecting from the “Team” drop-down menu.

  5. Provide email addresses or import a CSV file:

    • You can either enter individual email addresses manually or import a list of athletes in bulk.

    • To import multiple athletes, use the 'Import CSV' option and upload a file containing the email addresses. This is particularly efficient for adding large groups or entire teams.

Examples of athletes to add

  • Competitive athletes: These include individuals actively competing in sports at various levels, from amateur leagues to professional competitions.

  • Youth athletes: Young sports enthusiasts who are in the developmental stages of their athletic careers.

  • Fitness enthusiasts: Individuals focused on general fitness and well-being, who may benefit from structured training plans.

  • Rehabilitating athletes: Those recovering from injuries and looking to get back to their sport.

  • Aspiring talents: Emerging athletes who are in the early stages of their sports careers and seeking professional guidance and training.

Bulk importing athletes

  • Using CSV file: If you have a list of athletes in a CSV file, you can easily import them in bulk. This option saves time and is ideal for adding entire teams or groups at once.

  • Format of CSV file: Ensure your CSV file is formatted correctly, with one email address per line. This format helps the system accurately process and send out invitations to all listed athletes.

Tips for a smooth addition

  • Check email accuracy: Double-check the email addresses for correctness to ensure that invitations are sent to the right individuals.

  • Inform athletes in advance: Let athletes know that they will be receiving an invitation to join Pod1um. Prior communication can help increase acceptance rates.

  • Follow-up: After sending the invitations, it might be helpful to follow up with the athletes to confirm receipt and address any questions they might have about the platform.
